North Andover’s population is approximately 30,000 residents and it is located in Essex County. It was first settled in 1634, and was part of the original community known as Andover. After splitting in 1709, North Andover continued to thrive in agriculture, manufacturing and trade. Today, North Andover’s position as a bedroom community and a retail and services hub for the area gives residents every reason to be happy about where they live.

North Andover is bordered by Lawrence in the north, Boxford in the east, Middleton in the south and North Reading to the west. Major roads that help residents of North Andover get in and out of the town include I-495, Route 114, Route125 and Route 133, among others. The MBTA Commuter Rail Line does not have a stop in North Andover, but nearby Lawrence does. Being just 24 miles from Boston, many of North Andover’s residents do commute there for work.
